The prerequisite for this course is Earned Value Level I or equivalent experience. The Earned Value Analysis Level II course is designed for Project Managers who need to interpret technical progress, cost and schedule information to determine actual project status, meet government EVMS reporting requirements, and prepare for Integrated Baseline Reviews. It focuses on advanced topics of earned value reporting and oversight analysis. This class addresses the need for schedule and cost integration, the use of various EV performance indices in determining cost risk, changing baseline control, over target baselines, and understanding the meaning of performance indicators. Indicators that will be covered include Schedule Performance Index, Cost Performance Index, To Complete Performance Index, Elapsed Time Index, and Technical Performance Index. Students will work through case studies to learn analysis techniques for assessing the true risks in an EVM project. The course will cover how to determine risk thresholds and where indications of risk first appear.
