This course provides extensive insight into the process and application of scheduling and planning through real-world case studies and exercises that enable students to develop skills in contemporary scheduling methods. Key topics include developing the work breakdown structure (WBS) and its network diagram, Gantt and Critical Path scheduling, and slack and float identification and usage. The course will provide critically important practical considerations for developing manageable schedules within real-world constraints on company personnel and resource availability; external vendor capabilities; and the project budget and scope.
